About
The Panama City International Marathon is the oldest marathon in Central and South America and a key fixture in the region’s endurance sport calendar. Recognized as one of Sportfilm’s Marathons of the World, it draws elite, club, and amateur runners from around the globe. The course begins on Balboa Avenue near the Miramar Hotel and follows the scenic Cinta Costera, offering views of Panama’s iconic skyline and the Pacific coast. Runners then head west alongside the Panama Canal, reaching the Pedro Miguel Locks before looping back through Albrook to the finish line.
