IT band syndrome

Hi all! I think I have a case of IT band syndrome. The outside of my right knee really hurts when i’m running/bending my knee like going up and down stairs. It’s gotten a bit better so i’ve been slowly getting back into running (1.75 miles yesterday, 2.5 miles today with some walking). I’m supposed to run the Austin half in a month and I really want to be able to do it, especially since i’ve already paid the $200. I’ve been icing, rolling out quads, IT band, hamstring, and doing stretches like pigeon and figure 4. Does anyone have any other tips or remedies to help it heal? Thank you!
