January Announcements, CV, & 2026 Leadership Changes☃️

Heyyy DC, happy 2026!!!

We are back and better than ever this January, a lot of events to look forward to this month and this upcoming spring! If you are new to DC or the Endorphins community, welcome! We are so happy to have you! If you are a regular, we can’t wait to see you in 2026. 

TRANSITION OF LEADERSHIP
This year brings many changes, an incredibly important one being the “changing of the guards” as our dearest Brooke, Alanna, and Swish step down as city leads (🥺) and pass the baton to three of our former pace leads- Julia Ford, David Robinson, and John Chrosniak. 

Brooke, Alanna, and Swish were some of the first DC Endorphins members, and they have truly laid the groundwork for this community to become as special as it is. Thank you for everything!!! 💙 We will miss you dearly, but we could not be more excited to welcome our amazing new city leads who will continue to help this community grow.

Now on a less sappy note- 

JANUARY OVERVIEW OF EVENTS:

  • Weekly 4.5-mile Monday morning runs @ 7 AM at Stead Park! Encouraged to sit and hang at ThreeFifty Bakery afterward for coffee!
  • Weekly 3-mile happy hour runs every Thursday @ 6:30 PM at Franklin Hall. Beverages (N/A and not) are in for 2026 
  • Saturday, January 10th- DPP Collab destination run from Stead Park to Arlington ft. mini strength workout, bagels, coffee & MIMOSAs after! Extremely exciting event, and we can all metro back to DC afterward
  • Saturday, January 24th- 8 mile long run from REI in NOMA, with 5 mile option as well!
  • Saturday, January 31st- 7 mile long run, out and back on Rock Creek from The Line in Adams Morgan. 

We have many exciting races coming up this spring as well. 
  • Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon- Saturday March, 21st, 2026. Look out for a Friday shakeout run & cheer zone that Saturday! Updates to come. 
  • Cherry Blossom Weekend!  This is a huge weekend for the DC Running Community. Look forward to a CB sunrise course preview run, a huge shakeout run on race weekend, a cheer zone for those not running, and of course, our post-race Dacha celebration that Sunday.
  • LOTTERY OPENS TOMORROW! Lottery for Cherry Blossom 10 miler opens at 10 AM tomorrow at this link. 

Community Vote
Lastly, as a community, it is important we listen to our members to hear what they do/don’t like and gain feedback on what you are all looking forward to this spring.
