When to start marathon training (as a newbie)?
Hi hi! I’m Nihi currently living in Seattle, but moving back to Chicago sometime summer 2026! I’m about 1.5 years into my running journey (as someone who swore she would never run)!
I’ve got 2 half-marathons under my belt thus far, and I ambitiously signed up to run the NYC marathon with Team for Kids next year. It will be my first full, and want to make sure I train properly! Ofc Endorphins will be my ride or die training plan, but when should I start?
For context, I did the half marathon plan 2x before I felt ready to run my first half. Doing a full plan 2x seems overkill, but I’ve heard some folks on longer training plans also say they wouldn’t recommend.
