IT Band Syndrome
I'm training for a half on 4/27 and had to take 2 weeks off training in early March for a minor surgery. I think I ramped up too quickly after that have been struggling with left knee pain from IT band syndrome ever since. It flares up immediately when I start running, even at my slowest pace. I took last week off to rest, hoping for improvement, but struggled to get through a slow 6 mile run on Monday. I had to stop several times due to pain.
I'm worried about getting through the race next weekend, especially since I've been doing such low mileage. I'm wondering if I should continue to rest as much as possible before race day, or if I should try to get mileage in.
