Hi! I'm not new, per se, but I've never posted an introduction. The launch of this app seems like the perfect time. I'm Kimbie and together with my partner in crime, Peyton, we take on the walking circuit while our boy, Bobby Mack, runs.
Endorphins has proven to be the most amazing group of people. I've ALWAYS been a fan of runners. They are just the greatest people. This Dallas Endorphins group, however, is a cut above. They have been so welcoming to Peyton and me and I am eternally thankful. We have carved out our own niche of providing a safe and social place for injured and recovering runners to walk, maintaining a social connection to the group and also getting in a bit of exercise. We take our role super seriously. :-)
So, about us: I'm boring. But I'm the wife of awesome Bobby Mack and mom of AMAZING Peyton. Peyton had a rough start to life. She had a traumatic birth that left her on a ventilator for 4 days and in the NICU for 10 days. This led to a brain bleed and essentially a stroke. The damage was profound and has left her with significant physical and mental challenges. Her official "diagnosis" is cerebral palsy, but that is a broad term that can mean so many things. She has an amazing memory, a snarky sense of humor, and a compassionate heart. I am so immensely grateful that you guys have brought her into your group. It really means the world.
