Expert opinions on my training plan as I prepare for the shamrock half marathon March 15-17
Monday:
75 Easy Run, and finish with 10-20 second strides
Upper Body Strength Training/Core
Tuesday:
5K Run (Fartlek or 400m incorporated in run), and Bleachers/Stairs
Wednesday:
75 Minute Easy Run, finish with 10-20 second strides
Upper Body Strength Training/Core
Thursday:
Hill Repeats and Lower Body Strength Training
Friday: Long Slow Run 10 Miles
Saturday:
Rest Day
Sunday: Lower Body Strength Training, Core, and Stair Master
This will be my third half marathon my first one was November 2021 at 2 hours and 31 minutes but I stopped running from then until January 2023 and I completed another half marathon November 2023 and with time of 2 hours and 39 minutes (I weigh 40 pounds more than I did the first one).
