Hip flexor strain
A few weeks ago I noticed some pain in the front of my right hip, which doesn’t hurt during runs but hurts during the day with any twisting / sudden movements / lifting my leg to the side. It feels like a sharp pinch when I hit a wrong position (mostly side-to-side movements, not forward/backward). At the beginning I’d only notice it a few times a day, but now it feels like a lot more movements hurt it.
Does it sound like a hip flexor strain? In general, what muscle imbalances typically cause pain like this? If it doesn’t hurt when I run, can I still run and work on strengthening certain areas?
