New runner— high heart rate

Hi! I started running regularly a few months ago and have noticed my heart rate is significantly higher than anyone I run with— typically the average is at least 180 including on my long runs that I try to run slower (10:30 pace). This is still conversational for me though, and I feel fine after my runs.
I assume this is not good long term though… what can I do? Is anyone else experiencing this, or anyone have advice on getting it down? While I am new to running, I’ve been an athlete my whole life, but this is never something I’ve tracked or noticed before. I use a garmin to track.
