Hi Guys,

My name is Summer Willis and I’m so happy to be joining the group. :)

What I cherish most about running marathons are the incredible people I meet along the way. From the camaraderie of training runs, to the grit of mile 17 when it feels like every step is a battle, to the post-marathon elation mixed with soreness—we share a journey of triumph.

Endurance sports like these draw us together with unique motivations. Whether it's in memory of a loved one, to prove our own strength, or to support a cause close to our hearts. For me, it's about overcoming my own experience with sexual assault and, hopefully, inspiring others to discover their inner resilience.

So, on Women's Day, I've decided to tackle a marathon with a twist—I'll be carrying a mattress. The route will be four loops around Central Park, a physical and symbolic challenge that I hope some of you will join me for.

This will not only be a personal challenge but also a world record attempt. I'm hoping it sparks conversations about an issue that affects 1 in 6 women. Let's make a statement together.

If you feel compelled to join, I've included the sign-up link below.
