Training while dealing with injury
Hi everyone- so I currently have a shin injury. It’s not a fracture as I went to the doctor and got X rays. He did say he saw maybe some signs of stress on the outside of the bone but again main thing is no fracture. I have London marathon coming up soon and I’ve put in so much works.
I’ve ran four marathons before. Two questions- first does anyone have any tips or tricks for dealing with the shin injury? I’m currently resting it, icing when I can and wrapping it with an ace bandage.
The other one is more of a question/stafement- so even if I don’t run until the week of the London marathon do you think I could finish it? I know if I run I risk doing way worse damage but I’m prepared and fine with that as long as I can start the race. As I said before I’ve ran four marathons before hand and most recently NYC.
