Selling Bibs - NYRR - Protocols and Education

Hey everyone!

I have seen a handful of members looking to transfer and sell bibs to races. In some instances races may allow this, however for ALL NYRR associated races this is not allowed. New York Road Runners strictly enforces this and if caught it can directly effect your personal ability to participate in NYRR sponsored races as well as harm the reputation of Endorphins within the broader running community.

I understand many are unaware of the policies here so I’d like to take this as a moment of learning! As our group grows and racing becomes more popular among our members I encourage everyone to educate our new members when we see posts about transferring bibs.

If you do see someone attempting to transfer a bib to a race where it is strictly not allowed - you can reply politely via comment and say something like this:

Hey insert name!

It is too bad that you can no longer use your bib and participate in the xyz race! Not sure if you are aware but NYRR has a pretty strict policy on selling on transferring bibs. If you get caught it could get you banned from future races and reflect poorly on the rest of the community!
