Hey Everyone! My names Jonathan, 35, a late bloomer born and raised in the L.E.S. formerly a very heavy person (275lbs at 5'8") and stay at home body turned into a fitness and running addict! Took up running and exercise as a means to lose weight, improve my mental health, and turn my life around.
It did turn my life around! Now I'm hooked, and always looking forward to the next race. Most recently I ran the Run as One 4M. My next race in NYRR is the Citizen Queens 10k, but I'll also be doing the upcoming trifecta weekend in Fayetteville, NC. Ultimately aiming for the major 6 with getting a qualifying time for Boston. Will be running my first and second marathon this year, Chicago and NYC.
Favorite place to run? It's mood dependent, but I really love running Williamsburg bridge to Queensboro bridge and back down or Williamsburg bridge to Manhattan bridge and back up.
Can't think of a funny racing memory or story at the moment, but I'll post my favorite running picture at the bottom :)

I'm also big on biking and am proud of only riding the subway 3 times this year so far! Love lifting weights, hiking, and being active.
Looking forward to running with others!
