Brooklyn-Queens Brewery Express Half?

Is anyone planning to run the Brooklyn-Queens Brewery Express Half, or have you run it before? It sounds like a fun race, but I have safety reservations since the road isn’t closed to traffic. Specifically, I don’t want to run alone, as a woman who typically hits between a 10:15-11 min average half marathon pace.
