Ciao Miami Endorphins Family!

I’m Paige, and I will be joining Claudia, Josh, Juju, and Emily as one of your Miami city leads. I am so excited to meet all of you, and can’t wait to continue building on the already incredible community we have in this city.

I grew up between Ohio and New York, and always looked forward to spectating at the New York City Marathon. This is my bucket list race, and is actually what inspired me to run in the first place! Although I went on weekly short runs in high school, I didn’t train seriously until My first Miami half marathon four years ago. I moved here without knowing a soul, and quite honestly was super scared to run in public. I avoided joining group runs because I was self conscious about my pace, ability to run without stopping; it sounds so silly now, but I was scared to get laughed at!

After participating in my first group run with Late Night Menu Crew, I realized how wrong I was about my assumptions of the community. I remembered slowing down and getting worried I would be lost in a neighborhood I was unfamiliar with; two other runners noticed and hung back with me for the remaining four miles. After that day, I continued going to many group runs as my schedule allowed, and through running have met the most genuine and accepting people in Miami.

Joining the community has not only transformed my social life and introduced me to many new healthy habits, but it has given me a sense of confidence and belonging that I’ve never experienced before. My goal with endorphins is to continue fostering community, and encourage other people who have experienced some of the same insecurities I have that they truly do belong, and are beyond worthy of moving past them.

To me, running is love. That’s what I feel when I run alongside my friends, and that’s what I want people to feel when they’re out with us. When you run with us, you’ll never be left behind.

I can’t wait to run with you!
