Spilling the Tea

Hey Everyone,

Happy Monday, happy July! Nik, Elizabeth, Delaney and I having been working hard to put together the BEST summer Endorphins Boston has ever seen! We have some incredibly fun events planned, so I wanted to post some details and share some important reminders.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS:

  1. Next Wednesday, July 10, we’re teaming up with Wellness in Motion Boston to offer an awesome evening for the whole community. We’ll have a group run, departing from the Whitney Hotel, wrapping up at Heartbreak Hill in Cambridge. WIMB Practitioners will be available when we finish to provide treatment, answer questions, and chat with you about all things running and training! We’ll have some cold drinks on ice, so while you aren’t on the table getting treatment, you can stay and hang out and enjoy the good vibes. I’m sooo excited for this, you can find the details and RSVP here.

  2. August 7th. Something is brewing. I promise you, you won’t want to miss it. The tea will be spilled soon enough. 👀

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

  1. No long run this weekend (7/6)! Can you believe we’ve had over 78 consecutive runs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays?? That’s insane. Unfortunately the streak will be broken as Endorphins BOS goes on a little summer vacation. Don’t worry, we still have a Happy Hour run on Wednesday 7/3 and resume with our Monday run on 7/8.

  2. Speaking of long runs… we’re moving them earlier! It’s getting hot out, we don’t want you running too late in the day, so we’re going to kick off long runs 45mins early, at 7:45am every Saturday. The doors to Heartbreak will open at 7:30am, so you’ll have 15 mins for bathroom, bag drop, water, etc.

  3. Bonus loops are coming to long runs! We’ve taken the feedback you all have provided, many of you have asked for longer long runs to accommodate for fall marathon training. To achieve this, long runs will continue to be between 8-11mi every Saturday, with a bonus loop provided for an extra 3-4mi. This bonus loop will start/finish from Heartbreak South End, just as the long runs do, so you can finish the long run with your pace group, have some water, and set off for some extra mileage, if you so choose. This way everyone gets to run the long run that’s right for them.

  4. Still in search of more pace leads! One way we’ve been able to meet more runners where they are is by providing pace groups at every long run. Some of you might remember, this definitely was not always the case. We’ve got some amazing volunteers that help us every single week, but we are always looking for more! More pace leads will help us offer more pace groups every single week, allowing more runners to run the long run that’s right for them. All we ask of our pace leads is that you know the route and can stick on pace, that’s it! If you’re interested, please shoot me a DM.

That’s all we got for you! Have an amazing holiday weekend, and get hyped for all the awesome stuff coming our way soon.

Best,

Dan, Nik, Elizabeth and Delaney 💙⚡
