NYC Summer Community Vote Results ⚡️
Happy July! Thank you for participating in our NYC Summer Community Vote! We do community votes to make sure decisions are made with community input. We received a lot of great responses & feedback and are excited to implement some new things :)
TLDR, long runs will increase, more social events to come, and we will now have pace groups on Mondays.
Long Run distance. A lot of the written responses were to mimic the marathon training plan/ramp up the distance as we get closer to fall marathons. Heard! In the coming weeks we will begin increasing the mileage. In the mean time if you need to grab more miles you can do so before or after the runs. As a reminder, you can do as much or as little as you’d like! (Feel free to hop out early, join in late, whatever your heart desires).
Non-running social events. YES! The Mets game for instance was an awesome event and we are excited about doing more social events. There were some great ideas such as a bowling night, Central Park picnic, ice cream socials, etc. and we would love to make that happen. More to come on that soon but for now, check out this Cold Plunge Event happening on Sunday, July 14th!
Pace groups for Monday. Yes. We are going to start implementing pace groups on Mondays - stay tuned for what that will look like, we will update our weekly runs to showcase the pace groups we will have.
