Left Side Hip/Knee Pain
I have seen similar questions on here but wanted to ask specific to my situation - I’ve recently had hip and knee pain while running which lingers for a day or two after a run. No notable injury, just started to notice it after a long run one day. I used to be really bad at remembering to stretch but I have been very good about it after long runs during this training block.
The hip pain will subdue after a day or two of not running but my knee feels weak and will occasionally pop if I put it in certain positions. I tore my meniscus 12 years ago and had surgery to remove part of it so this knee is generally weaker but I haven’t previously noticed any issues with running really (more so with activities like skiing).
The hip pain is right around the joint area and spreads a little down the side/back. It’s more achey than shooting pain but certainly very uncomfortable during a run and the days following.
I’m training for the MCM in October and I’m really itching to get back to training but I don’t want to injure myself further.
Any idea of what this could be/how to fix it? And any advice on when I can start running again?
