Full Stack Engineers to help with the Endorphins App 👀

Hey everyone!!!

Is anyone in here a software engineer!?!? In my former life I was an engineer and have been working on an app for the community!

This is a fun side project that we are working on behind the scenes. Over the past few months we have been taking in feedback from members (as we do) on how we can make our virtual community and coaching stronger!! In community vote 24 it became pretty clear that we have outgrown circle… there are a lot of emails, notifications, and it is super hard to find when events are. We also have race chats using WhatsApp and they have been getting spammmeddddd. It has just become a bit noisey… and we need to simplify things!

On the coaching front, the most common feedback we receive is our members would like more personalized coaching. We intend to offer this next year by integrating with Strava, Garmin, Coros, etc… to look at historical activity data to ensure pacing, and programming is tailored towards your personal fitness and goals.

We have been building an app to consolidate all aspects of the community. It is basically at a point where the MVP is done!!!… but we need a lot testing to polish it up before we fully release it to the community early next year.

In addition, we may need some engineers to help maintain the app and build new features that the community requests! Like everything we do… this will be a community initiative. Keeping it community first will ensure that the roadmap, features, and product is best built for the future of Endorphins!

If you want to be involved or stay up to date, here’s how you can best support:

  1. We are creating a private thread in circle for anyone who wants to be involved, and help with the app. If you want to be a tester or potentially more hands on… feel free to join the thread here so you can stay up to date with everything going on.

  1. If you are an engineer and want to maybe help us with the app, below is the tech stack on how it is built. Join the thread and comment your github so we can maybe get you into the codebase!

The app is currently built using the following stack, libraries, and frameworks:

  • React Native w/ Expo Router

  • Node JS, Express, and MongoDB

  • Integrations w/ Strava, Garmin, Coros, Apple, etc…

If this matches your stack… lmk and we can get you into the codebase!
