Off-season maintenance
Hello!!! I started running seriously last February when I started training for my first half marathon in May. I fell in love with the new challenge, race day energy, and communities I joined. So I quickly signed up for my first Olympic distance triathalon which I did in August, follow by another half marathon in October. This is my first “winter”/“off-season” and living in Toronto, running outdoors will become unlikely and I am not much of a treadmill person.
However, I am signing up for my first Ironman 70.3 for the end of May 2025. I do not plan on starting a proper training plan until likely February.
Since my last half marathon, I have been primarily weight training which is one of my top forms of exercises. Ultimately, I am wondering what/how much I need to do to I suppose maintain the strong base I have build (but I am looking for the bare minimum).
