Weekly Announcement 12/30 - Happy New Year + Endorphins App Next Steps!!!!

As we wrap up the holidays, we've been reflecting on all the incredible highlights from 2024 and setting our sights on some exciting plans for 2025. LFGGG! We're so grateful for the amazing moments we’ve shared with all of you and can’t wait for what’s ahead. Here’s to an even better year to come!

What a fantastic segway into the biggest update to close out the year / kick off 2025.

We are launching an App (soon tbd more on timing etc below)!!

In Community Vote 24 85% of members expressed their support for creating a custom app for our community. Following this feedback, the City Leads reviewed the input and carefully weighed the pros and cons of such a transition.

While Circle has served us well, we've realized that we've outgrown the platform.

  1. Members have difficulty finding events (lol we host 1500 free runs a year and members have trouble finding the events!!!)

  2. The sheer volume of notifications and emails can be overwhelming!! (understatement)

  3. Our coaching program can be more personalized and more integrated with the community

  4. Relying on Race Chats in WhatsApp and Instagram for important updates fragments the virtual experience for everyone (unless you love stock tips)

After tons of deliberation and speaking with members we decided to take matters into our own hands and begin building an app that consolidates all of the best virtual aspects of Endorphins into one unified place! What a project is has turned into lol!

Over the past several months, members of the community have stepped up to help on ALL fronts! We pride ourselves on being a true community led organization and we can say confidently that this process has been nothing short of that.

  • We have 12 community members helping code the app!

    MAJOR shout out to @David Wolfand @Jeffrey Xiao @Brianna Goldstein @Fahd Ksara @Brooke Goldstein and many others who have been working non stop to make this app come to life!!

  • We have hundreds of members testing the app and providing feedback (thank you thank you for being so involved and helping us evolve the app to be something we are proud of)

  • The City Leads have been submitting feature requests and bug reports on a daily basis

  • Our coaches have been working with our engineers to build some INSANELY sophisticated back end technology that essentially takes their coaching ideologies and puts them into algorithms and code!

Ultimately, knowing the community’s input has developed and shaped the build out of our future virtual home ensures that the app will be made with your best interests in mind! And that is the Endorphins way…. and that is awesome!!!

Soooo… when is this app going to be ready?

Great question!!

The answer is… it really depends on when the City Leads feel comfortable with the MVP (seemingly in the coming weeks)!! Over the holidays we hosted a City Lead vote and a vast majority have voted that they believe the app is ready to go! But, there were however a few leads that flagged outstanding feature requests, and bug reports that we will be addressing with them this week.

The tldr is… we want to make sure the app is freakin awesome and will not put anything out into the universe that is short of that!

Once we have a final launch date confirmed by the City Leads, we will give all members a clear timeline of when we will be officially making the transition away from circle… and to our new virtual home!!! (it feels like we are becoming home owners lol)

In the meantime, if you are interested in getting more detailed updates about this process or even want to test the app to ensure your feedback on features and bugs is implemented, we have a private space in circle that you can join to get the latest updates! Inside this space, there is also a link to download the Beta App that is not released in the Apple or Google Play stores. You can download the version of the app that the coders are working on as we speak and submit feedback, ideas, and bugs to them directly!!

You will be given early access to our coaching technology before it is widely released to the broader community in the next few months. More to come on this as well :)
