hey heyyy
this is Brooke LeBlanc
based out of NY
favorite place to run in NY is on the WSH
favorite time of day to run is to catch a sunset
upcoming races, doing 9+1 next year. thinking about united half
prev races, brooklyn half 2x, some 10ks and other races thru NYRR etc
funny running story -- one sunny day in March I went up the WSH and twisted my ankle in fidi. I thought I shouldn't keep running on it but decided to keep going. a few miles in, I ran past Casey Neistat. wild because 1) I almost didn't keep going that day 2) he's my hero, huge fan and favorite creator. his youtube's on running inspired me to pick up running as a sport and training for road races when I was in college and did the AthHalf in my college town. 3) I had a dream before that I would meet him in NY, and specifically on the WSH. felt pretty surreal and special reminder that in one year, your entire life could change. one year prior I was in college, going on runs in a forest in Athens, GA to cope with a breakup and get a workout in. one year later I was living in my dream city meeting the person who inspired my journey. full circle moment -- and reminder to dream bigger :) and if you believe that it's possible, then it will be.
no strava, sometimes use NRC
I'd like to share that I'm happy to be here & grateful to tyler for bringing us here. hes an awesome guy putting together something really special and if you're reading this, you're early. this is gonna be huge one day and it'll be cool to look back on as the first few 100 people in the crew. let's goooo!!! see you in the streets.
