Hey everyone! My name is John, 29 years old, and live in Astoria. I generally do my long runs in Central Park and WSH during the weekends, but open to new runner friendly routes.

My primary running goal this year is to finish the RBC Brooklyn Half and NYC Marathon and will have goal times closer to each race. Aside from those two, I’ll do a couple NYRR races building up to the Marathon.

I’ve been working on worrying less of my average mile times and prioritizing distance ran and overall feel/vibes during training. The 9 + 1 races last year def helped with pacing and course strategy for my training runs.

Along with feel, I created playlists for just about all of my races last year with a fun theme attached to it (I.e. I created a Spotify playlist called ‘Blockblister’ as an ode to a prominent skit from the Amanda Bynes Show and having an annoying blister on my heel that week😂).
