Jeffing a half?

Hi! I already know this is a stupid question and the answer will be “no absolutely not!”, but is there any way I can safely run (or “Jeff” aka alternate running and walking short periods) the Women’s Half on 4/30. I had registered a long time ago and wasn’t planning on running it (I decided I wouldn’t train for it around December because of a noisy IT band). The IT band is quiet now, but I run max 7-8 miles / week (have been consistently for a couple of months). I do cross-train every day I’m not running so I have the general endurance strength, and this would be my 4th half marathon, for context. The reason I want to run this (or mostly walk it if I have to) is that I’m doing the 9+1 and would rather get the credit than not, if it’s at all safe and possible. Thanks!
