First marathon training plan
Hi everyone. I am running my first marathon in October (Chicago) and am looking for some guidance on a training plan. There is a Nike Run Club marathon provided by the marathon itself that I have been looking at. Additionally, I have heard great things about Hal Higdon, so I am looking at his Novice 1 plan. My question is, is it beneficial to spend the money to purchase Hal's plan? I see a printout on the website that I could follow, but there is also an option to purchase. I have never followed a detailed training plan for a race before, so I am just looking for some guidance. Thank you!
