Hi everyone! My name is Melanie, I’m 27 y/o and live on the UES. I played basketball in college and used to run to stay in shape during the off-season. I’ve run two half marathons (pre 2020) and last year I ~finished~ the NYC marathon (read: I ran the last 3 miles to support my friend who actually ran it).
Other than that I haven’t run much in the last few years, but the TikTok algorithm powers that be evidently think I should get back into it and showed me this group!
I have a habit of getting injured going too hard too fast, so I don’t have any race goals right now. I'm mostly looking to gradually build up mileage and meet cool people! Hoping to make it to a Monday morning group run if I can get myself out of bed early enough...
Other physical activity interests include hiking and rock climbing (always looking for new belay partners!)
