Community Vote #13

This was one of the most interesting community votes to date. It was clear that we should have a community sourced product recommendation section... however the consensus on how to bring it to life was not clear.

Question 1:

Regardless of where you are in your running journey... it is clear everyone is seeking the best products. From fuel, tech, apparel, footwear, etc... there are so many options. Finding the best stuff is never easy. Online reviews are sometimes hard to trust... having our community help with product discovery is a great way to help find awesome products!!

Question 2:

The implementation of this is not as simple.

34.4% voted that they would like some sort of combination of curated products by admins / moderators
19.8% voted for a form submission to be reviewed by community leads
16.7% voted for it to be fully community sourced. No filter
12.5% voted to have it be fully lead by community leads

I think the solution should involve some of everything. With this in mind, we have created a Product Recommendations section in the community. There will be a community favorite space that is a list of curated products by community leads. Additionally, there will community lead sections that will be a place for people to post their thoughts, questions, and recommendations with no filter! Community leads will take the most engaged with products and promote them to the community favorites section! As always, this will be a constant work and progress. We will see how people respond to this structure and go from there!
