Shin Splint vs Stress Fracture

Hi! I’ve been training for a half and the last couple of weeks I noticed I was getting pain near the shin on the inside of my left leg. I’ve been icing, taking ibuprofen, and taking my rest days - but it hasn’t seemed to gotten any better. The pain seems to stem from a certain spot and it really only bothers me while running or immediately after the run. But also have noticed while going down steps it doesn’t feel great either as of recently. It typically is a constant shooting pain and even felt a burning sensation at times. It’s been sensitive to the touch as well but I haven’t noticed any swelling. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!
