IT Band pain??
Two Saturday’s ago I felt some left knee pain after my 12 mi long run; I did some guided foam rolling and strength training based on exercises I look up if this was because of my IT band. I did these exercises and ran my miles easy for the rest of the week- the pain fluctuates up and down from my knee to my hip and groin. I decided to take a full rest from running- I have continued to foam roll and strengthen abductor/ adductor muscles. I also RICE. There is no swelling, but i feel the pain when I walk and put pressure on my leg. I plan on seeing a specialist, but I have lots of traveling in the next coming weeks, so I am unsure when this will be. Is there anything I can do in the meantime that would be recommended to help?
I am currently training for Chicago and want to make sure I treat this injury as best as I can.
