More heart rate Qs :)
Okay this is the first time I have paid so much attention to my heart rate while training... based on a combo of my apple watch data and old fashion pulse checks, my conclusion is my resting heart rate is lower than average and my active heart rate is higher than average. i.e. if I do an easy run chatting the whole time and feel great my heart rate is still nearly 170 lol (!!!)
My Qs are...
What should I be testing here? Understand there are tons of variables that drive heart rate + comparing to others is not necessarily the answer BUT if I do want to at least improve my active heart over time what is your recommended approach? What variables can I play with (caffeine intake?, hours of sleep? etc.) & over what period of time (1 week?, 1 month?) to see what changes my heart rate?
OR is the answer that I should just talk to my doctor or accept that this is just my "normal"?
TY! I know we are maybe planning to talk about heart rate more in a breakout so feel free to defer if easier!! 😃
