Running shoe change - anterior shin splints feeling

Hi running friends! So I just switched shoes to ASICS Gel Kayano 30s to address overpronation based on a running store's recommendation, but now I'm experiencing anterior shin splint like pain whenever I run in them. I have only run in them 3 times and then today I ran in my old shoes and had zero pain. Has anyone had a similar experience with switching shoes for overpronation? I have been running in Brooks GTS for years and really haven’t experienced any major pain besides some IT band stuff last marathon cycle. Should I go back to the Adrenaline GTS or try something else? Thanks for any advice!
