Non-Carbon Plated Race Day Shoes
Hey Everyone!
Currently training for the NYC Marathon and aiming to finish between 4:30-5 hours, mostly just want to finish so not super strict about how long it’ll take.
Since I’m not aiming for a specific time goal part of me wonders if race shoes are even necessary. My current running shoe rotations are between the New Balance Super Comp Trainer V2, New Balance Super Comp Trainer V1, and the Asics gel-Nimbus.
Right now I’m leaning towards using my Super Comp Trainer v2 for the race but those have a carbon plate. Since I’m not going for a fast finish time is it better to just stay with non carbon plated shoes?
