Shin splints

Hey! Over the last week or so I’ve started to develop a shin splint on my right shin. It hasn’t been painful, but I have noticed the area being sore at the beginning of my run and after my run. It’s also tender to touch/massage. I thought it was maybe from my shoes wearing down so I got new ones but the issue is persisting. Any advice for exercises/treatment? I’ve heard that rest alone isn’t a great solution!
