Shin splints 😬

I know there’s tons of threads on this topic but having pretty bad low inner shin/calf pain, but have a half next weekend. Curious as to how much resting vs running is advisable in the week and a half ish leading up to the race. I want to balance keeping the legs moving but not over doing it. Have been stretching, rolling, icing, etc. I know there’s not a one size fits all answer but I’m hesitant to rest too much (is that a thing?) leading up to race day. Thanks!
