Adjusting NYC Marathon Training for Cold

Hey everyone! I’m running the NYC marathon this fall (my first one ever!) and have been pretty sick (a lot of coughing, a runny nose and general fatigue) over the last 3/4 days. I’ve been really stressing myself out over not being able to run to the best of my abilities in 4 weeks time and wanted to ask the Endorphins community about what my best course of action is.

I have been pushing off my 19 miler from last weekend and told myself I would do it today but I’m still not feeling much better. Should I just skip it and stick with my 20 miler this weekend? Should I wait to restart training until I feel totally recovered/ maybe just stick with shorter runs for now? I would really appreciate any advice anyone has of how I can best take care of my body so I’m fully ready to go on November 5th!! Thanks everyone 😌
