half marathon training
just signed up for a january 28 half marathon in nyc! i’m looking forward to it and i’m feeling good. i’ve been following the nike half marathon program for 5-6 weeks and have 9 more weeks left in the program.
jan 28 is about 12-13 weeks away. i was wondering if it would be a good idea to re start the program so i can be on time for the tapering? if i continue at the rate i’m going i would finish the nike program early. or do i just keep following the plan to the end and then start doing shorter long runs till the race?
i’ve worked up to 7-8 mile long runs and feel pretty strong.
