Achilles Help — Marathon This Weekend

Hey Y’all… I’ve never dropped my distance or dropped out of a marathon before, but I think this might be the time.

I work in a restaurant, so I’m on my feet all day every day. Recently, I’ve noticed I’m developing what feels like plantar fasciitis (inside of my heel near my arch almost feels bruised). I think the issue comes from switching between my work and my running shoes and will probably be transitioning slowly into zero drop for running soon just to test things out.

I’ve been doing what I’m supposed to to treat it for the past week or so. Rest, rest, rolling it out, and some more rest. I did a solid 7 yesterday, which felt great at the moment, but yesterday into today I can really feel my Achilles aching. (Not pain pain yet).

Any advice on how to treat it/approach the race this weekend?
