NYC City Vote | Holiday Party 👀👀👀

Hello!

We have received a ton of messages and notes about interest in hosting a holiday / end of season party! This would be such an awesome opportunity to celebrate an amazing 2023 with one another! Equally - it would be so fun for us to host a more upscale event / gala where we can all dress up and not be in running clothing for once lol.

After searching far and wide for venues... it became evident... that hosting events in NYC is quite expensive! Most venues are north of $25,000 upfront costs (not including food, music, fees, etc) especially around this time with all the corporate holiday buyouts. 

With this in mind, a community member brought a cool opportunity to the forefront where we can use ticket proceeds to offset the cost of the venue. i.e. we don't need to put a deposit down. This is normally not an option when planning events and we are grateful for the support! The venue is in the newly renovated Gansevoort hotel and is like proper wedding / gala venue. It is hands down epic!!

Before we commit to doing anything, in true Endorphins fashion, the city leads wanted to gauge interest from the local NYC Endorphins community to make sure people were interested in this type of upscale event. There is a lot of behind the scenes logistics and planning that is required to pull off an event like this and before we go into full wedding planner mode lmfao, we figured we should make sure people wanted an event like this in the first place!!

I also want to be super mindful of two other things before we get into voting.

1. Endorphins preaches inclusivity. In a perfect world, we can find a venue that can support all 5000 of our NYC members. Unless we rented out MSG, this is obviously not possible lol. This venue can only support ~150 guests. 

Additionally, NYC venues are pricey. If we go through with this, there will be a ticket price that is ~$150. We are SOOO aware that this is not an inclusive price point for many. I am calling this out because we want to be mindful. At the end of the day...  this is the best option given the expensive landscape of venues in NYC and the special, upscale experience we’re trying to create for our NYC group!!

2. With the $150 ticket will come a drink package that includes beer, wine, and specialty cocktails. Endorphins prides itself on not promoting a drinking culture. With this in mind, it is how the venue has presented this opportunity to us. I will do my best to see if there can be a non-drinking ticket as well. But I can't make this promise at this time.

Also - since numbers are obviously limited here… if we do decide to go through with this we will open tickets up to people who vote to prioritize the most engaged members of the community!
