DC HALF CHEER ZONE!

This will be a fantastic way to celebrate the hard work of all the runners, and the entire DC running community! We will be cheering on our friends racing while hanging out and bringing fantastic energy for our runners! Let's come out strong, make a new friend, and enjoy the start of fall!
We will be setting up at 7:15am, expecting the first runners around 7:30am. There is no set end time, but we strongly encourage everyone to stay until the end--everyone needs the support and the cheer zone helps so much with that last final boost! Our cheer zone is near the finish line, so come hang out when you are finished racing!
Details for the event:
- LOCATION: Intersection of Independence Ave SW and West Basin Drive SW, Mile 5 and Mile 11. Set-up in the middle of the median for seeing runners on both sides!
- When: Sunday, September 14
- Time: 7:15 am and until the last runner crosses by us! Join ANYTIME within that timeframe! (The earlier the better :) )
Parking/Transportation:
- Driving: Will be difficult with road closures we strongly recommend other transit methods if possible!
- Metro: Walkable from the Smithsonian Metro (orange/ blue/ silver)
- Ride share: [uber/lyft] is always a great option if the metro is not accessible for you
